Install the Chiefy extension
Install Chiefy from the Chrome Web Store, then open Gmail. Chiefy adds a button to Gmail’s top bar so its features sit right where you read your email. Installing doesn’t connect your inbox yet — that’s the next step.
Chiefy lives inside Gmail. You add it once from the Chrome Web Store, and from then on its features are a click away, right in Gmail’s top bar. There’s nothing to download and nothing to configure manually — Chrome handles the install for you.
Install from the Chrome Web Store
Chiefy installs like any other Chrome extension, straight from the Chrome Web Store. You don’t need developer mode or any manual loading — just add it to Chrome.

Open the Chiefy listing
Go to the Chiefy page on the Chrome Web Store.

Add it to Chrome
Select Add to Chrome, then confirm in the dialog Chrome shows. Chrome installs Chiefy and adds it to your browser.

Open Gmail
Open or refresh your Gmail tab. Chiefy loads automatically whenever you’re in Gmail.
Where to find Chiefy in Gmail
Once installed, Chiefy adds a button to Gmail’s top bar — the header row across the top of Gmail, near the settings and account controls. Select it to open the Chiefy panel.
On some Gmail layouts, Chiefy also appears as an item in Gmail’s left-hand app menu. That entry is optional and depends on your Gmail view, but the top-bar button is the main way in.
Look for the Chiefy icon in Gmail’s top bar, alongside Gmail’s own controls.

Connect your inbox next
Installing the extension puts Chiefy in Gmail, but it doesn’t sign you in or give Chiefy access to your email yet. To start using it, you’ll connect a Gmail or Outlook account — Chiefy walks you through a secure sign-in (OAuth) where you grant access. Nothing happens to your inbox until you do.
Open the Chiefy panel and follow the prompt to connect an account. For the full walkthrough, see Connect Gmail or Outlook.
The browser extension’s in-Gmail buttons and panel work in Gmail only. You can still connect an Outlook account — Chiefy keeps it organized and prepares drafts behind the scenes — but Outlook doesn’t have the in-mailbox extension buttons that Gmail does. You’ll work with your Outlook mailbox through Chiefy on the web instead.
